How to help

North London Samaritans is completely run by our volunteers; we have no paid staff. And all our costs are covered by what we can raise ourselves – we get no money from the government or even the Samaritans national charity. So we’d love you to get involved and help us to provide what can be a life-saving service to ordinary people who may be going through a crisis or finding it difficult to cope with life.

Most, but not all, of our volunteers take their turn answering the phone or emails but some just help us raise funds, do admin or support us in other ways. Several do both.

You don’t need any special skills to volunteer and we provide full training and support.

North London Samaritans – every little counts

There are also lots of ways you can support our work even if you don’t have much spare time. Any financial contribution you can make, whether regularly or just once, will be valuable to us. Or you might like to take part in a fundraising event.
